From the heart.

Can I just share something from my heart today? I think I mentioned the Bible study I have been involved in for the past 8 weeks. Throughout the study Beth Moore has been incorporating things that are tough for women. One of the scenarios was "it's tough being a woman thrown a giant size weight." The week of that scenario I was thrown a giant size weight. Since then I have been dealing with that weight. Esther was also thrown a giant size weight. She had the weight of saving her people from impending doom resting on her shoulders. But, God had placed her as Queen for "such a time as this." God used her crisis to point her toward her destiny.

I don't know if my "crisis" is pointing me to my destiny, but I do know that God's timing is perfect. Tonight during our video she quoted Deut. 23:3-5 "The Lord your God...turned the curse in to a blessing for you , because the Lord your God loves you." This sounds simple, but it was profound for me tonight. Maybe this "curse" was handed to me for "such a time as this." So even though it's hard, I am excited to see the blessing.

I can only hope to remain faithful during the hard times as well as the good. This excerpt from "The Queen and I" is my prayer through all this:

"When because of your faith, your life too becomes perceptibly different; when your reactions are quite opposite to what the situation seems to call for and your activities can no longer be explained in terms of your personality; that is when your neighborhood will sit up and take notice. In the eyes of the world, it is not our relationship with Jesus Christ that counts; it is our resemblance to Him."

Anywho, that was the most important part of my day today. Maybe it will resonate with you too.
