We made it back from Colorado this morning at 7am. The ride should have taken 15 hours, but it ended up taking 22 hours because the Kansas blizzard slowed us down. I had to be at work at 9am. So I am pretty exhausted tonight. Glad to be back in our little house!Trip Highlights:
*skiing for the first time with Gary.
*getting to know the kids in the youth group.
*making PBJ and turkey sandwiches every morning for all the kids.
*feeling old each time we got to the bottom of a run and my body ached all over.
*riding on a bus for 15-22 hours each way.
*tubeing in 7 degree weather.
*getting over 13.5 inches of snow while we were in Winter Park.
*going to the very top of the mountain (elevation 12,600 ft.) and skiing all the way down.
*spending an afternoon in the medical clinic with an injured youth.
*relaxing in the hot tub outside in the snow!
*shopping with Brooke and Caitlin.
*making it down several blues without falling.
