This is a simple but beautiful little Baby Dress.
There is a "box" of hand hemstitching nestled between the tucks on the front. The embroidery, which is inside the hemstitching is mirrored on the dainty collars.
If you enjoy hemstitching, you know how much more difficult it is to work on a fine batiste than a linen fabric.
I like the Bullion flowers.
You can easily adapt an embroidery design that has Lazy Daisy flowers to the more elegant Bullions. Every place there is a Daisy petal, you will stitch two bullions in place of it. To get the two Bullions to look like one petal, use the same hole for the needle as you stitch them.
The seed stitch travels from one flower to the next.
The embroidery is also on the sleeve.
Can't you just imagine this little dress freshly laundered and pressed. And a sweet little plump baby wearing it?
This is my White Wednesday for today!
