Halloween Spooktacular!

Saturday night some of our friends from church held their annual "Spooktacular" Halloween party at their house.  There were around 66 people in attendance, and all were decked out it awesome costumes.  Gary and I won best couples costume as Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum.  I made the costumes myself with red sweatpants and a yellow t-shirt.  I cut the collar and bow tie out of felt and hot glued it to the shirt.  The hats and bald caps were bought at a local Halloween store, and I glued the orange felt to the hats to make their hair.  We were both stuffed with a pillow to make our middles round.  It was so much fun putting the costumes together and revealing them to our friends Saturday night.  Every time I looked at Gary I could not stop laughing.

Halloween on the Hill.

Today was the annual "Halloween on the Hill" trick-or-treating extravaganza for the churches and businesses in Park Hill.  Kids come from near and far to trick-or-treat, and they come by the hundreds.  This was Katherine Grant Salon and Spa's first year to be involved in Halloween on the Hill, and we had a great time dressing up and seeing all the cute kids!

Tonight Gary and I stayed at home and enjoyed some time together.  We cooked dinner, continued our tradition (4 years strong!) of carving a pumpkin, and roasted the pumpkin seeds. This year we carved the Cheshire Cat from Alice in Wonderland.  This has by far been our most ambitious jack-o-lantern to date, and we were very pleased with the outcome!

What a fun day we had today.  I'm worn out now! Hope you all have a fun, safe Halloween.
